1. Information We Collect
- Account data: email, phone (optional), display name, username, avatar
- Challenge data: dares you create or participate in, outcomes, proof media
- Payment data: processed by Stripe - we do not store card numbers
- Device and usage data: push notification tokens, app interactions, crash reports
- Contacts (optional): with your permission, to find friends on DoubleDog
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the DoubleDog service and your account
- To process challenge settlements and payments
- To send push notifications about your challenges
- To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
- To improve The Ref AI dispute assistance
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your data. We share data only with: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database/auth), Apple/Google (push notifications), and law enforcement when legally required.
4. Push Notifications
We send push notifications for dare updates, deadlines, and social activity. You can disable these in Settings or your device settings.
5. Data Retention
- Active accounts: data kept while account is open
- Challenge history: retained for 2 years after settlement
- Payment records: retained for 7 years (legal requirement)
- Deleted accounts: personal data removed within 30 days
6. Your Rights
- Delete your account: Settings then Delete Account
- Export your data: contact privacy@doubledog.app
- California (CCPA): right to know, delete, and opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information.
- EEA/UK (GDPR): contact us for access, rectification, erasure, or portability rights.
7. Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption, row-level database security, and secure device token storage. No system is 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
DoubleDog is not for users under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has an account and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated via the app.
