Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
DoubleDog is a social accountability platform where you dare friends, set personal challenges, and back them with stakes. By using DoubleDog, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use DoubleDog. Cash stakes are available only to users in eligible US states. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.
You may only hold one account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must keep your credentials secure. DoubleDog reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
Challenges are mutual agreements between consenting users. When both parties accept a dare, it is binding under these Terms. The Double Dog mechanic allows for stake escalation, which both parties must explicitly agree to.
Cash stakes are processed through Stripe. Once a challenge becomes active, stakes are non-refundable except as required by law. DoubleDog charges a service fee on settled cash challenges, disclosed at time of stake selection.
You own the content you post. By posting to The Yard or submitting proof, you grant DoubleDog a non-exclusive license to display that content within the app. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
For disputes under $50, DoubleDog's AI Ref may provide a binding ruling. Both parties agree to this mechanism when accepting a challenge. For larger disputes, the Commissioner ruling process applies.
All disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under JAMS rules, seated in San Francisco, CA. You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits related to DoubleDog.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings then Delete Account.
DoubleDog is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
DoubleDog's liability to you is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us in the prior 12 months or $100.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, with exclusive jurisdiction in San Francisco, California.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
